It was just meant to be a fun game for them – painting a cute little puppy blue. They laughed as they dipped their brushes in the paint and carefully applied it to his fur, taking pictures of their handiwork and sharing them with their friends.
But when they were done with their little game, they didn’t know what to do with the blue puppy. They had never intended to keep him as a pet, and they certainly didn’t want to deal with the mess he was making with his tears and whimpers.
So they discarded him, leaving him crying in the middle of their mockery. The poor puppy had no idea what was happening to him, why he was suddenly covered in blue paint and why his humans had abandoned him.
Luckily, there are people out there who have a heart for paws. A kind soul stumbled upon the abandoned puppy and immediately knew that he needed help. She took him in, cleaned him up, and tried to soothe him as best she could.
The puppy was lucky to be rescued, but there are so many others out there who aren’t as fortunate. Abandoned puppies and dogs are a heartbreaking reality in many parts of the world, and it’s up to us to make a difference.
